If it’s made in indonesia, then it’s not the Fender that we know and love. Certainly not a Strato.

There have been Fender’s made in Korea, Mexico, USA and Japan but not Indonesia. Looks like someone just replaced the headstock sticker. The serial number shows that is a 2005 Squier Strat made at the Cort factory in Indonesia in the month of August. It’s probably worth $ 100 – $ 200.

My guess is someone peeled off the Squier logo and stuck on a Fender logo. There’s some great information on identifying Fender strats and some tips on identifying fakes on this Ebay page:

No real Fender guitars are made in China or Indonesia though, only the Squier ones, and nobody would put a “Crafted in Indonesia” sticker on a Fender strat, so I’d have to say someone was being deceptive and removed the Squier logo decal from the headstock and placed a Fender logo in its place.
Here’s a great thread on how to identify a fake strat:

I see a lot of those issues in the pictures you posted. Things like the middle screws on the tremolo cover not being offset (they’re straight across from each other on your pictures).
That all and the fact that the cover over the neck screws says “Squier” on it!
here’s an example of just how easy it is to get those headstock decals:

It does look like it was one of the higher end Squiers though, so it’s probably worth $ 150 or so. Don’t try to pawn it off on someone as a Fender Strat though!

Hello there,
That is definitely not a Fender Stratocaster. As the others have said. Fender makes none of its own line of guitars in Indonesia. It only has Squier guitars made there.
The large CBS style headstock comes on two guitars. The Starcaster (actually not part of the Squier line) and the Squier Affinity. The Starcaster is made in China and has different tuning pegs so it is out. The Affinity is one of the low end Squier line. It has been made in Indonesia. It has a large headstock and has those tuning pegs. See this ebay auction. The picture of the back side of the headstock is a match for your guitar.

The Affinity is not made to Fender specs. In this case, the body is thinner than on a Fender Stratocaster. Large block tremolos cannot be retrofitted to an Affinity. The thin body makes problems with using a Fender neck on an Affinity body or an Affinity neck on a Fender body. The Affinity sells new for $ 180. So a used one is worth $ 90. Used guitars generally sell for half the new price.
Later,
Figure out good?
