There are ‘white” slavers who bring in Russian/Indian etc women or kidnap young kids. There are no black slaves in America unless someone has brought in a Haitian or Nigerian or someone similar.

It’s still going on in West Africa where children are being sold into the sex trade, as house slaves, as workers in factories and as field workers. Also in India, parts of Asia, Pakistan and the Dominican Republic. Its also still going on in the U.S. People are being smuggled in to work in sweat shops making clothing. Women and children are also being used here as sex slaves.

They might have ‘freed’ the slaves with the Emancipation,…but it’s not like,..life was great afterwards. They were free to go off & starve somewhere. They’re freed,…& then they develop the Klan. They’re freed, but no one hires them,..if they do,..it’s the lowest wages, They’re treated like crap, they have no rights. They struggle just to survive. As time goes on, they’re passed over for raises & promotions. There’s no mobility,..you can’t rise. Not in a company owned by whites,…for the most part, anyways.
Not until later & if one CAN rise,..it’s only because of the scandal formed if the situation is brought to the public eye.
.
Then there’s the kind of slavery already mentioned. Where people are held against their will to work or for sex or for marriages.

The last so-called “civilized” country to outlaw slavery was Brazil in 1888, but de facto slavery is still being carried out all over the world. In 2007, the Brazilian Labor Commission freed thousands of slaves from sugar plantations. In Indonesia, Malaysia, and other Asian countries, parents who cannot pay the “vigorish” (extremely high interest) on loans, are often forced to give children up to work for the loan sharks that they owe. The children work for the interest only, leaving the parents forever in debt.
This goes on all over the world every day. When you see garments labeled “Made in Indonesia” or “Malaysia” consider who is actually sewing those garments.
