the ring of fire (pacific plate) plenty earthquakes and volcanoes causing destructive waves. there is a break in the plates that runs vertically north to south that goes through iceland. every now and then, the poles there switch (because the earth is (underneath) vertical strips of north and south poles) between north and south. i can’t think of the name and that’s all i can offer. hope it’s helpful.
